Highlights

We use highlighters when something stands out and we want to remember it. Using the brightest colors of ink, we mark and make note of the things we find most interesting. Lately I have noticed that the world seems so sad and angry. There are outbreaks of various illnesses, wars are raging on, and the local news has become hardly anything more than a list of the people were were murdered or robbed at gunpoint.

I'm tired of the negativity.

This page is designated to the positive stories that don't always make the headlines. These are what really stand out in this day and age and these are what I want to highlight and remember. So come here if you're feeling weighed down by the bad in the world.

Drive By Compliments

These are by far some of the most refreshing videos I've seen in a while. People always seem so angry and hostile toward each other. That, and they're afraid to talk to people they don't know (our parents taught us well, I guess). But this guy, Blake Grigsby, armed with a megaphone and a camera, decided that it would be fun to drive around and shout off-the-wall compliments at people. Many smiles and "thank you's" ensue.

"When a compliment is due, pay it." I always say.

"If you think it and it's kind, say it." Says my friend Matt McCoy.

Blake Grigsby and his gang are doing just that, and the results are wonderful.

Enjoy.
